DRINKS TO RELIEVE CONSTIPATION
A. PLUM JUICE
The fibres of the plum pulp contain a natural laxative, which is helpful for people suffering from long-term constipation. The neutral nature of plum suits all body constitutions. However, those with diarrhea and weak stomach conditions should not consume plum.
Ingredients:
2 fresh plums
1/4 lemon
400ml cranberry juice
1/2 cup ice cubes
Method:
1. Remove peel and core of plums. Cut lemon and remove its peel and white membrane. Put them into the blender.
2. Add 200ml of cranberry juice and ice cubes. Cover and blend well.
3. Add the remaining cranberry juice and mix further. Serve.

B. PEACH YOGURT DRINK
Peach, which is rich in pectin fibre, helps in bowel movements and prevents conxtipation. The enzymes in pineapple help to disintegrate protein residues left in the intestines due to undigested food, thus preventing colon cancer.
Ingredients:
50g fresh peach
50g pineapple
50g canned peach
200ml cold water
1/2 cup ice cubes
200ml low-fat plain yogurt
Method:
1. Peel and pit peach. Peel pineapple and cut into chunks. Put all fruit ingredients into the blender.
Add cold water and ice cubes, cover and blend well.
2. Add yogurt and mix further. Serve.

C. PEAR & AVOCADO JUICE
Pear, rich in carbohydrates, various vitamins and minerals, aids in bowel movements and balances blood sugar. Together with the proteins and vitamin E obtained from the avocado, as well as the enzymes from the pineapple, this glass of healthy juice serves to help prevent cancer. Pear has a cool nature which suits all body constitutions, but people suffering from diarrhea should abstain from it.
Ingredients:
50g avocado
50g pear
50g pineapple
50g canned peach
500ml cold water
1/2 ice cubes
1 tbsp honey
Method:
1. Peel and pit avacado. Peel pear. Peel pineapple and cut into pieces. Put all three fruits into the blender along with peach.
Add 300ml of cold water, ice cubes and honey. Cover and blend well.
2. Add 200ml of cold water and mix well. Serve.
